Pic 1000 and the Figure of the Year

WE ARE MIGHTY!BigBadWorkshop’s Vacation Tick is in my #1 spot for Figure of the Year and I can’t imagine anything displacing it.

First and foremost, this has been at the absolute top of my wish list from day one of this hobby A Tick figure in the modern, 6” scale, hyperarticulated style has been a dream and not only did I get one, the one they finally made may be as good as a Tick figure can get.

There’s gonna be a bunch more pics with him so I’ll get into it in more detail, but he looks perfect, movesl like a dream, and has me thinking I may buy the original release just for two heads, a tie, and a Viewmaster. I’m definitely gonna try to get the Radioactive exclusive.

The reason I got Vacation Tick is that he is essentially a regular Tick figure with extra stuff but not all the stuff that comes with the Regular Tick. So, in a reasonable compromise, I thought “I’ll get one that works for both and I don’t need that small amount of extra gear.” Vacation Tick has the sunglasses head and more stuff you’ll see later. Regular Tick has a serious head and also this head without the sunglasses which are a permanent fixture.

This is also, by the Official Count, Toy Pick 1,000. I have lost a dozen or two pics somehow from the early days of 2022 but since I started being good about keeping track and recovering everything I could, this is 1K. So a celebration was in order, justified or otherwise.
