STORY TIME!So, first order of business - expand the jumbled mess from the title. This is Operation Monster Force, Season 3 (Part 01). It’s a six figure wave, just like Season 1 and Season 2 were, I think, so I’m not sure why it’s Part 01 when we haven’t seen Part 02 preorders yet but whatever.
I got half the line because the other half are Soldier Bois and I really don’t need many general-purpose Soldier Bois even if they are werewolves or zombies or vampires or whatever. We kick off with The Ambassador Of R’Lyeah, who, if you ignore the head and hands, is your standard OMF Guy in Short Trehnchcoat, but hot damn the head, hands, and accessories.
Obvs he’s Lovcraftian as fuck, but the thing I highlighted is a front-runner for Accessory Of The Year, the Tentacle Book. The tentacle rotates and is removable, and there’s a closed version with a painted cover too, and it just kicks every possible ass.
He also comes with normal hands no sane person would ever use, a hooded head no sane person would ever use, a partially hooded head with tentacles coming out of the bottom of it and other bits burned off that a sane person might use.
This whole wave or at least the ones I got use the smooth elbows and knees they introduced on some of the Season 2 figs and some of the Crimson Moon dudes and I appreciate that a lot. His coat is also flexible enough for him to sit - LOOKING AT YOU ROTTCLAW!
Pic is self-explanatory but I love that all these dudes - mostly BigBadWorkshop but also a little Valaverse and of course Ryu can all sit cross-legged - this was two shots ‘cause I also wanted to fudge the sizes to make the audience kid-sized.
