NONE MORE PROG ROCK!Masters of the Universe probably has the highest guardrails of any line I collect. It’s Cartoon Collection only, with a slight exception for Origins vehicles/accessories that work with Cartoon Collection. Because I know every crack in the wall eventually leads to future regret.
And there have been cracks. The Havoc Throne is Masterverse and pure awesome. There is a Dream Date Skeletor in my future and I gotta decide soon on a movie Orko. And then there’s this guy, who was eleven bucks on clearance, is absolutely one of my top-tier MOTU dudes, and looks completely insane.
He’s Origins, so he suffers all the same articulation deficits that Cartoon Collection does, but at least hes compatible with and fits in with him. The monster face is incredible. The poncho is incredible. He makes me want an entire MOTU line with this aesthetic.
The back design on the poncho overlay is so nifty I had to find a way to shoehorn it into the pic. The overlay also BARELY fits on Ryu, which makes it funnier to me.
