First verse complete! Time for an unwanted break, in more ways than one.Let’s start with the pic today. This is the first time I’ve been able to set people up in a single shot that fit into the background. It can always be tricky to get distances and angles right but thanks to the green Legos and my general practice ad “tables and chairs”, this one worked out pretty good. Plus I had lobsters. Plus I had Red Sonja’s shouty head already on her and didn’t have to dig it out.
But.
Last night, swapping hands in preparation for pic 5, her left wrist broke. Specifically, the bit that has the rod and ball joint came loose from the arm because the ring that holds it on cracked. Cathy thinks she can fix it with resin, but that’s going to require time, energy, and the right weather for both ventilation and curing, along with other resin projects because you can’t make three drops of the stuff, so we will resume Verse 2 once all that happens.
It’s disappointing, and the internet seems to think the wrists are the common weak spot in Mezco,figures, but with a little luck we’ll be back into it soon and with a little less luck she’s gonna have a permanent trigger finger on the left hand in all future poses.
