Remember what I said about Jazwares’ meshy black fabric frill machine?Because of Ringside’s (perfectly understandable) policy of not shipping a free shipping order until every part of it is in stock, I got the Julia Hart from a couple months ago in the box with the Timeless Toni storm. She’s also very good!
Another 8.5-9 on the Jazwares Effort Scale - she has the hat, the mask, and the robe, plus a couple of bonus hands. The robe is basically the Toni Storm robe but with a lot fewer passes through the frill machine, which makes sense. I’m not sure about the accuracy, but it conveys the look fine.
This means I probably need to make me a new House of Black photo soon.
For this shot, I used one of my stock ring photos, which necessitated painstakingly making the middle rope “bend” because that was still less trouble than setting up the big photo box and the ring. Added in the blue lighting and spotlight effect from a reference shot of a Rampage entrance.
What I -should- do is painstakingly deconstruct my ring photos into foreground and background elements so that they’re easier to use when I need to do foreground/background stuff like Jula’s top-rope straddle here, but it is SO much work and i’m kind of hoping that Affinity 2.6 will come out soon and the smart object detection will make it way easier. But I also have three wrestlers showing up on Wednesday so maybe I’ll do one of the… dozen or so ring angles I have sitting around, most of which still need greenscreen removal too.
