Hasbro and I frequently disagree on what counts as either “Deluxe” or “Worth thirty five bucks”.Sure, a lot of it is personal preference for the character but, especially in the last year, Hasbro seems to be using the higher price point for some things that maybe earlier would have merited a regular release. Take Black Krssanthan, a Wookiee with a gun and a vest.
I mean, he’s a very big Wookiee, don’t get me wrong. And it’s a very big gun and a nice vest. But come on. Thirty three or thirty five bucks? No. Now, on sale for around half that? Absolutely.
BK was also one of the good things about Book of Boba Fett when it wasn’t peeling off to be a couple of sneaky Mandalorian episodes. Again, the kind of thing that inclines one to sales.
Anyway, big Wookie with a gun. Being a larger body and Black Series, he couldn't be described as “super articulated”, but he hits the basics. Everything else is up to Hasbro’s reasonable standards. Perfectly good clearance figure to toss in the PIle of Loot next to the Spider-Verse stuff and three Figures To Be Shown Later Later Being Probably The Next Two Days.
For the pic, I thought about the idea of letting the Wookiee win, which made me think of shooting games, to competition, to Fortnite, to my big three Fortnite dudes. So I did that.
