I have a Pile of Loot waiting with all my preorders and impulse buys from like late August on, and it’s waiting for four or five figs that are “processing soon” no really. Meanwhile, orders and preorders from non-BigBadToyStore retailers are also coming home to roost. And also apparently I’m on eBay buying shit?
This was actually a fairly clever idea on my part. See Hasbro has been doing these “Gamververse” figs mostly based on Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 but they can’t say Capcom. I’ve gotten a bunch of them But one of them is a Wolverine / Silver Samurai 2-pack that features a yellow and black Wolvie with weird game proportions that I did not want. But I also want to collect as much of the MvC2 roster as I can. And then I realized I bet a bunch of people bought the two-pack for Wolverine and didn’t want the Silver Samurai, so I found a loose complete one for $28 shipped, less than half the price of the two-pack. WIN.
He’s a mid reissue of a mid figure from Hasbro’s past. He’s all pins and bare minimum engineering. But he does come with a new GIANT RED SHURIKEN ON A STICK as a game effects piece plus a sword and sword lightning and I don’t have to worry about not having this guy from the roster so I’m fine with it. And his big-ass new game-style shoulderpads.
