Best effects hands contender.Last two Wave 3 X-Men ‘76 figures I got. I passed on Cartoon Logan because I have the very similar Logan that came with Sabretooth (the one above, in fact) and I passed on Emma Frost because nothing makes me madder than a plastic cape getting in the way of shoulder articulation.
Jubilee is great - her only real “flaw” is that she’s not in the classic TAS crop top costume and instead is in the black bodysuit. I would have loved the earlier version and the bubblegum head but other than that, she’s great. Biggest thing is the new Jubilee effects hands, which have been digitally brightened for the pic but still look fantastic.
Sunspot is fine! Two effects pieces, some hands, basic Meets Expectations Marvel Legend. He’s one I struggled with the pic on because he doesn’t do much in Season 1. How do you visually convey “coming to grips with his mutant identity” when the figure is in full uniform? And when he was in full uniform he was basically just Jubilee’s sidekick, so that’s what I went with.
