Wanna play helicopter? I know why I bought Wild Bill. He’s basically the last figure (until they make a Duke I like) in the Named GI Joe Characters That Make Up The Important Cartoon Cast.
As we’ve seen, I like group shots with lots of Recognizable Joes, so he’s in that collection. But Wild Bill? More like Mild Bill.
He’s a dude and he has a hat or hair and he has two revolvers and a knife and is green. That’s it! Doesn’t really convey the cartoon personality. He’s just… there. A thing I was less aware of when I preordered him and that became very aware the instant I opened him up.
The nice thing about doing th eBluey helicopter bit is that I didn’t have to put a lot of work into it. THe bad news is it very much exposes that I’m still an amateur with Halide and don’t know what I’m doing with settings and lighting.
As with many situations like this, I would kill for a cel-shading filter in Affinity, but there isn’t one.
