Shouldn’t have needed the luck.My biggest pet peeve in all of toy collecting is the failure to honor a preorder.

If I preorder a thing I should get the thing. The whole point of preordering things is so you don’t have to shop for the thing when the thing comes out. You can ignore all the hassle. You know you want the thing. The company knows you’ll exchange money for their goods. But sometimes…

It’s happened to me a handful of times and it still burns. Remastered Green Ranger is the biggie, but there’s also the Only Good McFarlane Wonder Woman that GameStop hosed me out of because my card got jacked between preorder and purchase and Gamestop couldn’t change the payment method. But the biggie is Walmart  and Hasbro.

I’ve been lucky for the most part. I’ve heard the tales of cancelled preorders but never really experienced it. I had to cancel my own preorder for War Machine / Omega Red because they weren’t sending mine out even though it was in stock on their own goddamned website. But a LOT of people’s Crystal Balls got cancelled and I’m pretty sure mine was on track to meet the same fate. But then when I went to get Sandman there was one on the shelf, so I grabbed it and cancelled my own preorder before they could.

And man, am I glad I did. He’s SUPER cool, with a translucent green sword, translucent green ball, translucent green shield effect that clips onto a shield that also has a lenticular effect, and the alternate translucent green Definitely Not Cthulhu Head. He has a normal head which is also fine but come on.

He’s also got a cool coat and tons of details and is just a standout figure, which is why I’m mad on behalf of my online toy buds who didn’t get theirs and also mad that the upcoming Ghost Viper with even more translucent green shit is gonna be a Walmart deal too. As is the Mysterio reissue. Ugh.

For the pic, well, he has a lot of translucent green so I got out my Superfriends Lanterns and asked Cathy if she had a tiny poop. She did. It was pink for reasons so I fixed it in post.
