Been waiting for this one from the jump.It is kind of funny that when I thought “I’ll buy all the Jada Street Fighter figures from the Street Fighter Red Tape” sketches I didn’t realize that Vega would be the last of those 8 they’d put out. I also didn’t realize I’d be a Jada Street Fighter character completionist, and buy Sagat and Dee Jay, but here we are. WIth four characters left to get in SF2. Zangief, E. Honda, T. Hawk, and .
But even when you discount the Red Tape sketch association, Vega is just a stunning, wonderful toy. The sculpt and paint is amazing, the gold highlights, the accessories, the wired soft goods sash… it’s all just so good.
He comes with a masked head, an unmasked head, a loose mask, a claw hand, two open hands, and a claw that can fit on the two open hands. From a toy company standpoint, the bonus claw is easily the most unnecessary and the most “we want it to be cool” accessory - it can go on either hand and is absolutely the kind of thing a Hasbro wouldn’t have bothered with.
Anyway, just look at him in all his glory. And enjoy this too if you know the Red Tape sketch:
