She came with a sledgehammer. I am of a certain age. This was inevitable.The Cover Girl purchase was made in the same vein as the Flint - retro card, main character, looks good. It was a kind of “fill the hole, complete the set” mentality with an OK figure of an OK character.
She’s got some hands, a no hat loose hair head, a rifle, a pistol, a sledgehammer and a wrench. I believe it’s due to a shift in character from “80’s woman with the power of makeup disguise” to “and also mechanic” but I’m not 100% on that so don’t make any big life decisions based on my version of the Joe lore.
For someone who’s less than completely fond of the Classified “generic military person with job” figures, I have enough of them to fill out a front row.
The pic is a very specific reference that if you don’t know you probably shouldn’t Google and if you do know you still shouldn’t Google because let’s just say the person referenced was revealed to be a hella racist asshole in the late 90’s but hey he’s dead now!
The “watermelon” is a for real vegetable, a Mexican sour gherkin, aka “cuke-nut”, that we grow in our garden because they’re goddamned delicious.
