This is, once and for all, ALL THE TOMMNIES.This is a redo of one of the first things I ever did and also one of the first things I ever re-did. So thisis Version 3, the definitive version. Here’s the first two for comparison:
Obviously the big improvement here is the logo match, done from scratch instead of using an online generator that was noticeably ass back in 2002 even.
Also we now have all seven incarnations of Tommy Oliver as a Power Ranger, having gotten the Turbo Red body, even if I had to pop the Zeo Red head on him for the pic because the fig they did was the second Turbo Red.
All new poses, more interactions with the crunchberries, and three different easter egg joke changes to the text on the box, plus shadow-matching on the Tommies and more painstaking integration into the bowl. Also a new improved Real Tommy head in the circle.
Also, at the risk of being sincere on the internet:
I started taking pictures of my toys the day I turned 53, about a month before I learned my eyes had gotten so bad the state would take my driver’s license away.
This was after an entire lifetime of showing zero inclination or talent for any visual art at all.
But I just started doing it, and trying new things, and yes, I got better at it, at least in the sense of wanting it to look like X and being able to get it mostly to look like X to me.
Whether it looks like X to others or whether it should look like X are separate questions that I can’t concern myself with.
Point is, you can just decide to try a thing to see if you enjoy it even if you suck at it, and you can mark and celebrate your progress in it even if it’s from one end of the Sucking At It continuum to the other.
