My apologies to your retinas. When Deadpool and Wolverine Wave 2 went up for preorder, I passed on most of the wave. I ordered Cassandra Nova and Blade (currently in that lovely limbo between Hasbro Pulse charging the card and Hasbro Pulse putting them in a box) but passed on Cowboypool, Dirty No-Sleeve Wolverine, Laura/X-23, and Brown Suit Jackman Wolverine.
And then I saw a review of Cowboypool, and saw all the detailed sculpting and paint that I couldn’t notice on the promo pics, and he went from one side of the bubble to the other. Luckily, local retail had just gotten the wave in so I was able to grab one.
The standout, and why he was close to the bubble to begin with, is the “twirling gun” effect, which is awesome. Beyond that he comes with two pistols and some hands, including a very specific gun twirling hand. The leatherwork on the belt and the boots is, by Hasbro standards, crazy detailed, and the paint hits over most of the figure are, again, very un-Hasbro-like. Plus he has painted gold spurs.
Deaspool’s canonical association with unicorns and rainbows meant Swiftwind was inevitable. The background is about… 80% of what I wanted it to look like in my mind but I’m pretty happy with that.
