Operationg Monster Force is a line that improves drastically in person. They don’t shine in promo pics. I couldn’t tell;’t tell you why, but they don’t. Get one in hand, though, and they sing. I had passed a few times on Lt. Something “The Eraaser” Griffin, a military dude who’s descended from the Invisible Man, but finally picked him up on impulse and as soon as I played with him, I checked to see if the all clear plastic version was still available. It’s not, but if it ever goes up again, I’m getting one.
He’s just… cool. Just super appealing when you get him out of the box and start fiddling with him. He’s got a ton of swappable parts so you can change up his look, he’s got bandage forearms and bandage neck and head if you want to go that route along with gloved hands. I probably won’t because swapping the neck was a giant pain in the ass that required a hair dryer so now that I’ve got him like this, I’ll probably leave it, but who knows. Maybe when summer rolls around.
Anyway, hands, guns, blast effects for the guns, straps, thingies, a stand with his name on it, little Ziplocs that hold all the accessories even the ones in the tray, the stands have the character’s name on them making it easy to remember which baggie goes with which character… it all just works and has such a joy of play aspect to it that again, the promo pics of Military Dude don’t really get across.
I also turned day into night for this picture and I think it turned out better than my first attempt because this time I didn’t follow a guide, I just used what I know to change it how I wanted.
This is a wrap on the Decmber Piloe of Loot, now it’s on to sale purchases and holiday gets.
