Probably the match of the night. |
For my predictions, I'm now doing SHOULD and WILL to separate what I want to happen with what will happen.
NXT Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Bobby Roode
SHOULD: Nakamura loses a hard-fought match, and debuts on the Smackdown after Mania to feud with AJ Styles.
WILL: Nakamura loses a hard-fought match, and debuts on the Smackdown after Raw to feud with AJ Styles.
NXT Women’s Championship Match: Ember Moon vs. Asuka
SHOULD: Asuka's overconfidence leads to her losing the title to Ember Moon, freeing her up to debut on Monday Night Raw as a face.
WILL: Asuka's overconfidence leads to her losing the title to Ember Moon, and she hangs around for another few weeks to have the inevitable rematch and second loss before getting called up to Smackdown.
Tag Title Elimination Match: Revival vs. DIY vs. The Authors of Pain
SHOULD: Authors of Pain retain, allowing The Revival to go to Smackdown and DIY to go to Raw, while Heavy Machinery get elevated, Sanity gets back in the tag team scene, and they make another tag team out of midcarders with nothing to do (Jose, Strong, Almas, Lorcan).
WILL: DIY pins the Revival to win the belts back and protect the AUthors of Pain. Revival gets called up to Raw where nobody can tell the difference between them and The Clerb. Authors-DIY at the next Takeover while Heavy Machinery does squash matches.
Aleister Black vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas:
SHOULD: Black wins his debut match against Almas, cementing Almas' role as the Guy Who Puts Debuting Guys Over.
WILL: The same.
Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, No Way Jose and Ruby Riot vs. Sanity:
SHOULD: Dillinger pins Sanity to win for his team, then puts in a strong performance at the Andre Battle Royal at Mania the next night before debuting on either Raw or Smackdown where he gets Crewsed.
WILL: Same match outcome, but everyone stays in the nXT midcard while Kassius Ohno challenges Roode for the title.
