Dwarf needs mobility, badly! In Four Horsemen’s defense, I absolutely knew what I was getting into here. He’s a short stocky dude - bad for articulation. He’s loaded down with armor and gear, which is bad for articulation. He’s by Four Horsement, which ain’t great for articulation. They’re not quite as look-over-movement than the worst of NECA and they’re miles better than Super7, but Valgard was never gonna be hitting a ton of poses.
As with any Mythic Legion, the tradeoff is the level of detail in the sculpt, the quality of the paint, and the amount of stuff. Skeleton Dwarf head! Bigass hammer with one side being swappable with more of a hook thing! Two swords! Hands! Shield! The Obligatory Pauldroins! Helmet Wing! One of which is Currently Missing (my fault, vanished after taking it out of the package).
He’s very good looking and I’m kind of assembling a fantasy squad of Elaborate Gold And Silver Armor Dudes. I’ve got Gideon (white Dude), Lijae (Elf Dude), and Valgard (Dwarf Dude), with Otho (Black Dude) due in about a month and I’ll probably order General Delphinia (Lady Dude) for the fall because they’ll make a good team, especially backed up by a couple of mages and maybe my Lizard Dude.
Fun fact - these carnival hammer games are called “high strikers” and there are almost no pictures of them on the internet that meet my ethical usage criteria.
