I didn’t need this Batgirl. Technically.As regular followers of mine know and absolutely should have forgotten, I got the first Batman ‘66 Batgirl that McFarlane Toys put out last year. It was technically based on the comic book version rather than the show, but it was Close Enough.
When this version went up for pre-order, I got it in my head somehow that this version was a more accurate version of the TV show Batgirl and added it to the pre-order list. And it’s not. At all. It’s basically a repaint with a different head and belt in classic comic Batgirl colors rather than the purple and yellow of the TV show. Unnecessary for my version of McFarlane Retro Batman completionism. Didn’t realize this until after it shipped, but hey. It’s not a bad figure, I just didn’t NEED it the way I “need” other toys in the line.
Anyway, for the pic, I had Egghead out FOR REASONS so I pulled the background from the TV series - this is the alley behind Barbara Gordon’s apartment building that she drives the Bat-Cycle out of - and then added a little tiny puddle reflection, shading, and the Batgirl shadow on the wall. So for an unnecessary figure it made for a pretty good pic.
