How To Improve A US Title Match 101 

 With most Wrestlemania things settled, not a ton of EVENTS OF SIGNIFIcANCE for the week.But a few things happened.



IT’S RUSEVMANIAAAAAAAAAA

Well, Rusev got added to the US Title match between Jinder Mahal, Randy Orton, and Bobby Roode. The optimist in me thinks they wouldn’t add Rusev to the match if they weren’t going to put the belt on him or move him into the US Title picture on an ongoing basis after Mania, so I’m happy. I’ll probably be disappointed aftre Mania if he’s just there to kill time or eat a pin so that RANDEH doesn’t have to.

SASHA AND BAYLEY COME TO BLOWS

They had a pretty good backstage brawl this week. It’s hampered by the fact that I don’t know who the face and heel are in this situation. Seems to be mostly Sasha, but it’s not clear. The storytelling has been so lackluster on this that it’s tough to tell.

IT’S AOP VS. BRUISERSTRONG FOR THE DUSTY FINAL

Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong defeated Sanity, and Authors of Pain defeated Street Profits to advance in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The winner gets a shot at the Undisputed Era, but one of them blew out his knee and the other is in the NA Title Ladder Match, so who the fuck knows what’s gonna happen.

NXT NORTH AMERICAN TITLE ANNOUNCED

Along with a six-man ladder match featuring Adam Cole, Velveteen Dream, Lars Sullivan, Killian Dane, and the debuting EC3 and Ricochet. I’m on board for that.

BUDDY MURPHY LINED UP FOR POST-MANIA TITLE MATCH

Whoever wins the Cruiserweight Cedric Alexander Title Cedric Alexander at WrestleMana Cedric Alexander will have to reckon with Buddy Murphy, who defeated TJP, Tozawa, and Kalisto to position himself for the post-Mania challenge. Tozawa and Kalisto, of course, are going to be embroiled in the first Tag Team Title feud, and TJP is TJP.

BRYAN-SHANE VS> OWENS-ZAYN; GARGANO VS. CIAMPA

Unfortunately, Shane McMahon’s intestines aren’t going to keep him from wrestling at Mania, so we have this tag match with Zayn and Owens’ reinstatement on the line. Which means they’ll win. Speaking of reinstatements on the line, Johnny Gargano can get back on the NXT roster if he beats Ciampa in an unsanctioned match at Takeover. That outcome is less certain because this blowoff could lead to a Gargano callup.
