Agents of SHIELD: “All The Comforts Of Home”

Nicely done, Agents of SHIELD.


When we left the future before the Olympics break, I think we all assumed that Old Future Yoyo’s missing arms were the result of Kree captivity. But no. They’re in the past for like a day and she gets both arms lopped off above the elbows by Evil Teenage Xena, the daughter of Ruthless Army Lady from the Fitz flashback episode.

Anyway, the new status quo is that the renegade Agents are holed up in the present-day Lighthouse, a secret base so secret Nick Fury didn’t even know it existed, and so secret that nobody’s used it since the early 80’s. Patrick Warburton shows up as a virtual tour guide, which is fun, and one of the old Bones interns shows up as a replacement chronocon for Enoch and then blows up real good.

And Deke made it to the past too, leading to a fun sequence where he enjoys all the pleasures of the actual bar his virtual bar was based on, causing Daisy to bail him out of the drunk tack, leading to some fun editing trickery about who and how would tip the government off to SHIELD’s presence.

The 100th episode is tonight, but I have no idea when I’m going to get to watch it, so we’ll see how that goes.
