I'M KIND OF A BIG DEAL

OK, Preacher Season 2, we may need to have a talk about Tulip. She's spent almost the entire season scared or moping or traumatized about or by something. That's an uncomfortable amount.


I hope her unorthodox "therapy" at the end of this episode works and we hear mostly the end of it, but I have a feeling it won't, because this Preacher has the prestige TV obsession with emotional arcs and consequences grafted onto the comic book insanity, and they seem to be putting most of it on Tulip.

So, while Jesse talks to street preachers and Tulip PTSD's about the Saint, Cassidy wrestles with whether to "save" his dying son by turning him into a vampire, and much more importantly, we get the backstory of Herr Starr joining The Grail, which is as hilarious and brutal as the comic, if not more so. Pip TOrrens is killing it, literally and figuratively, as Starr.

Withe Starr and The Grail officially going afte Custer now (not gonna think about why they were going after him three epiisodes ago too), things will hopefully pick up a bil less mopey.
