As seen earlier in his career, when he was just Master’s Doom.
He gts a C on the chair test! One thing that happened by surprise htis year is that I’ve gotten to replace all my early 2000’s Toy Biz Marvel Legends - they were OK figures but they were very floppy and had slightly weird proportions. I’ve replaced Black Costume Spidey, Nova, Dr. Doom, and soon, Silver Surfer, and technically Daredeil although I would still get a non-cel-shaded Classic Red if they made one to go along with the heavily cel-shaded Spidey Animated one.
The Dr. Doom is a reissue, which is fine, beause he’s a surprisingly good figure. Good articulation, tons of accessories (some hands, two books, two effects ic, and that weird stop-watchi-lookin’ remote control that I’ve already lost in the cleanup from this picture), his tunic is soft plastic and his cape moves a lot so even though they’re not soft goods they mostly get out of the way of posing. He does have a tiny bit of cloth around the neck, which is an interesting choice - if you’re doing that why not an entire soft tnuic? But it’s fine.
Two more tomes for the TOME COLLECTION. I wanted to show off the tomes in the pic so that’s what I went with. I did have to do a certain amount of shaving pixels to match him to the chair and provide more of an illusion that the tunic is going under his butt and around the front of the chair but I think it turned out OK.
