They’re not ALWAYS dumb jokes. But I’m not ruling it out for the future.
So this is one of two specific Mythic Legions I got recently as part of my recent Mythic Legions phase, which might be over depending on what the tariffs do to my hobby and my disposable income. I present Thraice Wraithailer, or, and I will forever think of her, Robe Lady.
Because, and I say this with all love for Four Horsemen, their lore can fuck right off. If you enjoy it, more power to you, but I’ve had to look up Thraice Wraithailer every sinle time I’ve had to type it since I got the figure and I’m still not 100% sure I’m getting it right. Mythic Legions names go hard into Easily Mockable High Fantasy. Which wasn’t an issue when all I was getting was horses and army builders but now I have two named ones and, whew. Robe Lady it is.
I got her on account of getting a gift card to a retailer I normally choose not to frequent, so she cost me less than ten bucks out of pocket. She’s an Evil Sorceress, obvs, with all the candy. Purple cloth wired cloak. Staff with clear orb on top. Two Mythic Legions Shoulder Thingies (TM). Two clear snakey spell effects. Bonus hands. One head for huud up, one head for hood down. And the usual array of incredible sculpt detail, incredible paint detail, and functionally acceptable articulation.
So, yeah, from the start, the idea was always to put her on a horse in the dark backed by the Graveyard Skeletons emerging from the dark/mist. And I think I got there.
I do want a couple more classic fantasy archetypes in this style, but it’s always a mix of the price point, the availability, and whether their idea of the archetype and nmine match up. Plus now imminent global financial crisis. So we’ll see.
