Again, all the Deadpool and Wolverine line pics end up with Deadpool in them, but today we’re talking about Wolverine. This figure is just slick. There’s a LOT of sculpt and detail work on the costume that Hasbro completely nails. Lots of lines and bits and bobs and thingies and it’s all there.
I’ve seen conplaints that this is a “clean” version of the costume that is, in the movie, never clean. I understand the argument, but I don’t agree with it. First, it’d be additional paint detail when the base costume already needs so much of it. Second, it’s a lot easier to scuff up a clean costume than it is to un-scuff a dirty one. You want it scuffed, go scuff it.
Like Logan, this one includes a fantastic unmasked head, but it’s not the same unmasked head as the Logan, which is even nicer. There’s also a masked head, even though by the tine he’d put the mask on he’d basically lost his sleeves. But, much like the “clean costume” thing, you get what this Wolverine looked like under ideal conditions. The battle damage can come later.
There was a slightly better version of this shot, but only after it was complete did I notice some errant stand removal had made Hugh Jackman’s abs even more unrealistically slim than they are, so I had to pull a shot with a slightly worse angle to drop into the background. But I love how the posing turned out.
