november P.O.L.: At Long Last, Deadpool

We finish off the Deadpool and Wolverine wave part of my (first) November Pile of Loot with the man himself, Deadpool. You’ve seen him from the side. You’ve seen him from the back. Now you can see him from the front! No complaints, honestly. Well, one small one, but I get it. I would have loved the same articulation scheme as the Deadpool/Bob two-pack comic Deadpool, but he doesn’t have movie textures, so they couldn’t have just re-used those parts. Instead we get a fairly standard Marvel Legends body, with very good articulation that occasionally isn’t good enough (though I don’t think I own a figure what can cross its legs in a seated position naturally), great sculpt, great paint, good accessories.

The accessories being swords, pistols, and a small assortment of hands for holding them.

For the shot, I took one of my small handful of skeletons (probably a Fwoosh Yokai but maybe a Golden Axe), shot him normal, then played with the settings to sort of kind of approximate the chrome of the Logan skeletin in the movie. It’s very approximate but to be honest, the gradients in modern paint software don’t work ANYTHING like my ancient paint-program-using ass thinks they should and learning it hasn’t been a priority.

Used the Apple “clean up” object remover on the original movie still and while it’s not good for a lot of things, it’s REALLY good for stuff like this.
