Raw (3/27)

What's that slogan again?
This was a perfectly mediocre go-home episode of Raw before Mania. I mean, there were literally zero new developments. Just video packages, promos, and a handful of matches that allowed Sunday's participants to beat up on each other.

The most distracting thing, of course, was the CONSTANT FUCKING INVOCATION of the "Ultimate Threill Ride" slogan for Mania, which is a dumb slogan and almost as bad as the Rumble's "fantasy warfare" thing. And overused almost as much. Also, how many ultimate thrill rides feature slow-walking 50 year olds as part of their biggest attraction?

The one time they pretended there were actual stakes in a match, the stakes were so lopsided as to be ridiculous. Sami Zayn wrestled Kevin Ownes. If he won, he got to be in the Andre Battle Royal. If he lost, he was fired. So he won with a rollup and Chris Jerichos match because it was a no DQ match so duh.

Also of note, a weird bit promoting that same battle royal in which Big Show beat up the entire Raw jobber roster before facing off with Braun Strowman. This was ridiculous.

Everything else was here mainly to provide the fodder for Wrestlemania predictions based on traditional WWE 50/50 booking. But we'll get to that later in the week.
