This purchase straight up jumps three of my current collecting guardrails. First, it’s very large. I’m trying to cut back on large stuff. The figure is a 7” scale giant, so she clocks in at just over a foot tall and the wingspan is insane.
Second, her articulation is limited. It’s not BAD but she’s meant to stand there for the most part.
And third, she’s from a “Let’s Take Masters Of The Universe Seriously” show, one of the Netflx ones. I don’t think you should take MOTU seriously. It was a bad cartoon with a bad premise and strangely appealing designs.
But she was $23 bucks at Mattel Creations right around Thanksgiving. She has a cloth cape, and those four cables coming out of her back, and I can’t resist a toy to dollar ratio like that.
Plus she fits in with the household doll collection so she does double duty.
For the pic, I decided she should control four of the biggest derps in the cartoon universe. Adam, Cringer, and Bow were obvious picks, but for #4 I was torn between Ram Man, Buzz Off, and Man E Faces and kind of flipped a coin.
Once again, Origins / Caroon Collection articulation utterly fails me in hitting any of the poses I wanted - kneeling in any way shape or form while also staying vertical. So I settled on this, lit ‘em blue, and lordy the trouble I had getting a shot with the four cables staying poster-tacked to the four heads.
