THIRTY SEVEN DOLLS #11: Totally 80’s Alf

Totally Ultimate Ultimate Toatally 80’s.I’m gonna have three fuckin’ Alf’s because the fuckin’ accessories are so on fuckin’ point. Fuck.

BUT ONLY THREE. For now. There are five possible Ultimate Alfs but I don’t need the Comic Convention Alf and I -really- don’t need the Super Alf. Even if they were easily available, which they’re not.

But this one was and I could throw it into the May Pile just before it shipped and it has a skateboard and a pizza box WITH STAINS ON THE INSIDE and two pizza slices and a Rubik’s Cube and a fake game console with a wired joystick and a can and sunglasses and a tube TV and and and… and I’m not made of stone and I fucking love props.

The figure is identical to the Alf I already have, with probably the same hands or close to the same hands, and when I get the rock and roll Alf in the next week or so it’s gonna also be the same fig with the same hands and I have no idea what, if anything, I’m going to do with three identical Alfs and I’m oging to look at them and question my life choices.

But I’m VERY happy with the pic because to be fully honest I did not think this was going to work first try. I almost never try to do precision with placement in the photo box and mounting the camera but I knew I’d have to to pull this off but my gear  / rig is NOT conducive to it at all.

This ended up being made out of five pics - three pics of Alf on the skateboard holding accessories, two pic of the TV propped at different angles, and one stray pic of Alf’s head with the FUCKING SUNGLASSES ON CORRECTLY because on two Alfs so far I can’t get the sunglasses on in a way that stays clean so one of us did something wrong and I don’t know if it’s me or NECA.

Anyway, I cut just the arms off of two of the pics, moved them into position, decided how to best stack them, then did some careful layer erasing and a bit of inpainting brush to touch up the shirt. It all went surprisingly quickly.
