Sometimes, you need a break from hobby.
After the slew of figure acquisition, photography, editing, and posting that was June, I ended up taking a break. First, nothing new was coming in or showing up on shelves. Second, you should WANT to hobby, and I wan’t feeling it. Especially because the giant photo project I’ve been working on for months encountered some technical difficulties that I haven’t felt like figuring out how to address.
But a couple of weeks ago, I pulled the trigger on a couple of eBay things I’d been looking for. San Diego ComicCon happened, and brought with it a slightly terrifying array of preorders and one straight up exclusive. And I shipped my Pile of Loot. So, since those last two things will be here today, it’s been time to shoot some arrivals.
So, the Hoth Rebel Trooper. See, I got the Endor Rebel Trooper on clearance, and I have the Blockade Runner Rebel Trooper on pre-order, so to complete the set, I needed Hoth. Not sure why I haven’t looked for this before, to be honest - he’s as good or better than the Endor version, although part of that may be Empire bias.
Great sculpt, excellent range of motion by Black Series standards, and he has the two-face deal (regular and beardy) that Endor has. So he got the beard. He comes with a rifle and a pistol normally, but my eBay one didn’t come with a pistol, which is fine, because I have like eight of those standard issue Rebel pistols already.
