21 PROJECTS #18: K-Pop Demon Hunters Final Battle 2-Pack

I really thought I was gonna be madder at Demon Jinu. The product photography for this two pack made me concerned for lower body mobility because, well, robes and action figures don’t mix.

But when it arrived? The robes were thin strips, incredibly flexible and soft, and din’t impede the movement of the figure at all.

Now, this is a $22 Mattel anime figure, so the movement is just as limited as it is. Again, I’m not mad about it. They’re focusing on faceplates, hands, and little accessories, and I support that choice, but it does make it tough for all of them to hit really dynamic poses. As you can see here.

Rumi is also very nice, with painted demon markings and the same long ponytail as the earlier version. It’s a shock to me that she can hold er sword at all - her hands feel softs and lacking the heft to hold a sword that size - but even one-handed she can. At least right out of the box. Ask me again in a year.

There are startlingly few clean shots of the final battle location in the movie itself and I didn’t have time to consider building one, so you get the stage.I’m pleased with the smoke effect I added around Jinu.
