Sometimes you just want to capture a moment.So, what this is about is, Dalton Castle and the Outrunners won the Ring of Honor 6-Man Championship at Supercard of Honor on Friday and afterwards they cut one of those “back stairwell” promos ROH/AEW are so faond of, which included the classic Truth Magnum line, “They may be them, but we? We’re us!” and Turbo Floyed getting so close to Dalton Castle’s moth it’s like he knew there would be screengrabs.
And I realized I had everything i needed to make the pic. I have a good stairwell background I found back when I got the Ringside Exclusive Hook. I had the figures. I have a ton of extra hands, including big splayed out ones. And I have three Ring of Honor title belts.
The setup for this sucked, though. Mainly because the only way to keep a belt draped over a shoulder is to poster-tack it to the back, which has a lifespan of between 45 seconds and five minutes.
And to get the shot, I had to make sure both straps were tacked down, make sure the faces were close enough, the hands not obscuring anything, and Truth’s sunglasses properly seated above his eyes. This broke SO many times, both during the first set up, where Truth was too far to the left, and the second. In fact, this shot featured Dalton’s belt popping up before I could take it but I realized I could delete the popped up strap clean without destroying the effect thanks to the forearm placement.
