PREDICTIONS: NXT Takeover Brooklyn 4

This could literally be the single greatest TakeOver of all time. I mean, it can’t be beat on paper, so unless things go horribly wrong somehow, I’m very much looking forward to this.



Velveteen Dream vs. EC3

Both these guys could use a PPV win, to be honest. They’ve both come up short in big matches recently. So I have to go with the predictor of “who stood tall on the last show before the PPV”, which had EC3 hitting his finisher on Dream, so I’ll say Dream wins.

Ricochet vs. Adam Cole (North American Championship)

Ricochet got his ass kicked by the Era two weeks ago, and could really use at least a short run with the belt to cement him as a major player in NXT. Plus, Cole’s not doing anything with it, which played into the setup for this match but I don’t think was really intentional. Ricochet wins the belt.

Moustache Mountain vs. Undisputed Era (Tag Championships)

As much as I want Moustache Mountain to win this,the Who Stood Tall rule and gut instinct tells me they’re not going to take away all the Era’s belts in one night. There may well be shenanigans, but Era will retain.

Kairi Sane vs. Shaena Baszler (Women’s Championship)

Sane’s not going to win this one. She stood tall on Wednesday, she owes Baszler a win from the Mae Young Classic, and Baszler is working as champ. Plus the card needs two heel wins for balance, plus Baszler is way too successful as a champion and a heel to end the run now. Baszler retains.

Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa (NxT Championship, Last Man Standing)

I can’t believe that, before Aleister Black got injured, they really were going to go with a triple threat. It’s so insane not to make Gargano-Ciampa III one on one for the belt I wonder if the Black thing was going to be a swerve all along and they just moved it up when he hurt his groin. Anyway, this story HAS to end with Gargano winning thee belt (finally), moving past Gargano (finally), happy ending, crowd goes nuts, period. Has to happen. Extending this would ruin it. Gargano wins.
